Sterilizing Plants ?

Hey All,

I remember not too long ago there was a post re sterilizing plants to kill snails and other nasty's. Bleach was mentioned as 1 part to 9 parts water mix, I just wanted to know how long you would submerse the palnts for in that solution ? I assume if it's too long, it wouldn't be to good for the pants ?

Any ideas would be great :wink:

I would only leave them in the solution for a couple of minutes. I generally find no matter how careful you are you will still get snails. I have always used a couple of clown loaches which generally does the trick.

a 5% solution of household bleach(beg's the question are all household bleach's created equal) has been suggested at 3 minutes dip then into dechlor for hardy plants and 2 minutes dip then into dechlor for moss's
