Most definately a very beautiful genus of fish. Trouble is that they don't show their full glory until they are matured and they are usually sold as juveniles in drab colours. They don't attract ppl's attention when young, in bare shop tanks and as a consequence, ppl just over-look them.

We've imported ALL and more than what was posted up. We've even got a good majority of them IN-SHOP NOW!!!

These make great discus tank mates and make great community fish tank-mates.

Laf, my other half always said "You spent how much! on little brown fish!!!" Tho I got a retraction on the male trifasciata when I brought him home.

Bare shop tanks, stressed fish, genearlly juvenile/sub adult - apistos really dont sell themselves well. Good thing there are a few of us dwarf nuts around.

Cheers

london has some though the water here is very hard so more of a specialist(nut!) thing

they are slowly becoming more popular here , as it seems they are in australia
import from germany to england requires no special permits so in theory i believe i can legally drive to germany do some shopping and drive home, though it is a long jourery.. perhaps sydney to brisbane, so i guess small by aussie standards

couple of distributors here that regularly have apisto's available though not to the asian levels
