Up in Penang this weekend.... Any discus special request?

SLS is planning yet another large shipment of discus in after X'mas. I will be up in Penang this weekend doing our usual run of the associate farms to pick up some nice quality discus.

On my requested hit-list this time will be:

3" Red Golden Diamonds
2.5" Penang Eruptions
2.5" Pearl Pigeons
2.5" White butterfly
4" White swan
4.5"-5" High quality Penang Eruption pairs.
4"+ Golden Albino pairs.
4.5" High quality Blue diamond pairs
4"+ Red melon pairs.
4"+ Golden pairs
4" Mozaic red turquoise
4" Checkerboard turquoise

...... anything else I missed out?

yep kev you also miss out to write the 6inch pairs of different strains lol, at 6 inch u get more good chance for a good responsible pairs that will care for thier eggs and babies without them eating them , unlike unmature ones just eats every thing.

Personally, I would like to get (over the month of january)

1 x 3 inch RGD
1 x 3 inch golden albino
1 x 3 inch red rabbit eye albino
3 x 3 inch blue diamond (male and female for the BD if possible please)

Gee, 3" red rabbit eye albino and golden albino (also red eye) is pretty much the same fish. An albino fish with a red iris. :)

3" blue diamond to be sexable would be pretty stunted fish... surely we wouldn't want those. :lol:

That fish would have to be massively rare! Although I must say that personally, I am not a fan of that fish in terms of looks, but it would be a very good conversation piece (e.g "Well here I have the world's rarest discus") lol.

Still all discus are nice, some just nicer than others.

Errm, actually the best Satay in Malaysia is made in Kajang, Selangor... :lol: Penang has great Malaysian fare, but not really THE place to go for the best Satay. :wink:

That said, I'm meeting some mates in Penang for good food.... Nibong Tebal for seafood lunch (then off to see a farm around there), then Batu Maung for another good dinner of baked crabs.... :lol:

Anti generic. Albino Red Gold Diamonds are pretty hard to come by. Kev was able to source one for me several months ago, but as far as I know, this is the only one in Australia. $400 each, hmmm well that might buy you a few scales. Be prepared to mortgage your house to buy the rest of the fish :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Kev,

Please thank George and the crew for the Blue Diamonds, packaging was excellent, fish are healthy as and settled in within a few hours, most impressed.

I'm chasing a couple of clean White Butterfly confirmed females right now but they must be fairly big as my fellas are 16cm. I think they might be gay so this is their last chance.

Also chasing two male Red Melons around 18 months - 2 years old and a few Albino Alenquers around 9-10cms.

Would appreciate your help.

I have a tank full of Roy Khoo's Golden Leopards at around 10cms that are starting to pair off so once I've picked the pairs I want to keep the rest will be up for sale if you're interested. I'll probably have about 4-6 that I will want to sell. They are stunning fish.
