What Is The Main Food You Feed Your Discus ?

What foods does everyone most often use?

Beefheart Mix of a morning, Colour Bits midday, Bloodworms teatime.

I feed Mysis Shrimp there much better then brine shrimp i find they look more like shrimp and my fish love them :D

Now i have one problem i got 300gm of Tetra Colour Bits and my fish won't even look at them :?

Any suggestions :?:

I feed a mixture of different things

Artemia, Mysis, black worms, white worms, red worms, beefhart mix with garlic (yup garlic) pink shrimps and granulate
They seem to like it, they eat all and the are healthy (as far as I can see)

I feed my discus a balanced diet as i like a balanced diet myself!


Homemade beef heart
frozen brine shrimp
live brine shrimp
tetra bits for red based fish
frozen mysis shrimp
breeders premium

A varied diet is definately the best for breeding and growth.

I feed a bit of all of the above :lol:

In the afternoons...
Mon/Wed/Friday/Sun - Mysis Shrimp
Tues/Thurs/Sat - BrineShrimp

In the evenings...
Mon/Wed/Fri - Fish Dinner
Tue/Thur/Sat - Bloodworm
Sunday - Beefheart

I did use bloodworm but was told it was as bad as blackworm so now use mysis,and brine as the main food,i also use alot of colour bits as well as beefheart.
