Hi
I recently setup a new tank and ran the UV from conception. IMO it kills the bugs that may come in throught your tap/RO water.
I didnt have any problems with the new setup.

Hi Max,
one question...are you doing a fishless cycle or cycling the old fashioned way? with a few fish.

Hi Ben,
I am doing it with a few fish a and using Seachem
Stability
Was wondering if the uv would affect the bacteria being added by stability

Logically I would say that you should be fine with using stability with the UV on, since the U.V would be hooked up to the return pipe, the bacteria should lodge in the abundant surface area in the canister filter.
How is seachem stability (is it true that you dont need to cycle the tank if you add it for 7 days?)

hi G-1000
I have used stability for awhile, it seems a good product, I never have cycled a tank
In this case I put a pair in a new tank after only 3 days using Stability (they were about to spawn in the commnity tank) They spawned 2 days later.
