May seem a silly question but I’m relatively new to Discus
Can someone please tell me when Discus become adults and show their real colour?

Paul, that's not a silly question, but it's certainly a difficult one.
We would assume that a fish of 12 months of age, or about 4 inches in length, to be mature, and showing full colour. Snakeskins often take longer than that, and some of the blue colours, like blue diamonds show full colour a lot earlier.
The most spectacular colour is when the fish is spawning, and then you see them in their full breeding colours.

I guess the easiest way to think of it is like a fine wine - you know, the older it gets the better it becomes.
