How to tell pairs

Hey i have 4 discus (red and blue turks) about 10 months old. How to i tell if they are a pair and when to move them out of the planted 3tf they are in and into a breeding tank.

Wait till they spawn the first spawning wont be sucessful anyway, then they will have practice for their honeymoon suiet.

you will see them pair up, and they start doing little shimmies...

then wait for the spawning to start (eggs, eggs and more eggs...)

then you can consider seperating them

it usually takes a while before you get a successful spawn.
