i got it from trans aquarium at canley vale and he cost me $200
i think that is a reasonable price for such a nice quality flowerhorn his size

Matt,
Nice fish.
Remember the female turq you sold me. Well she just spawned but guess what. I also have a tank full of lesbians.
Un******believable.
I need a male or a guarenteed pair.

her old lesbian partner spawn a couple of days ago for the first time in ages...they must be still connected in some way and decided to spawn at the same time
del, he is about 8" long from nose to tail...he is a couple of inches thick....pretty solid fella

Nice and Big Matt, what are you feeding him ?
Mattzilla
Fri Nov 04, 2005, 09:13 AM
actually all he will eat is blood worms....which is a bit of a worry
yesterday i defrosted some blood worms and added some flower horn specific pellet food to it and refroze it. he has been eating it but he is not happy cause he knows there are pellets in there. he spits a lot of them out but at least he is eating some. i think ober time he will get used to it and i will gradually increase the amount of pellets i add to the blood worms.
anyone got any other tips on getting him to eat anything other than blood worms???
oh an of course he eats other little fish....i have fed him guppies and i think he ate 2 (rather large) bristle nose that where in the tank when i put him in and i have not seen for a long time.
i did have a large pleco in the tank with him but he beat it up pretty bad so now he is flying solo in his own tank

hmm what about the starving method Matt ?
Mattzilla
Fri Nov 04, 2005, 11:19 AM
well i have been away for 3 days the last 2 weekends in a row and when i have got home i have fed him pellets, flakes, brine shrimp, beefheart...EVERYTHING!!!!... and even when he has been starving for 3 days he still does not touch it.
he is stubborn...you should see him when he eats the blood worms with pellets in it...you can see the look on his face is like "what the hell are you trying to feed me????"
it's really quite funny

you can kind of see some terra cotta pots and stuff in the background...well he litterally picks them up and throws them around. they all had plants tied to them that had semi grafted onto the pots....well he has ripped most of them off
actually i am looking for some large (4-5" in diameter) terra cotta pipes for him...anyone know wher i can get some???
cheers
