Hi everyone, recently my waters gone merky its turned a yellow/greeny colour, I do water changes twice a week nitrites and nitrates or zero.
My LFS said its an algae problem. What causes it :?:
Recently I added Two plants :?:
Any clues, Fish are doing well still spawning not sure if any wrigglers because I cant see that far into tank :!:

You may have inadvertently added them from your plants, should clear up with water changes over time (or you may be getting some sunlight on the tank?)

Hi Chris,
This might sound a little controversial, but go down to your local fish shop and buy a bottle of geo liquid, add per instructions and see how you go.
As geo liquid is safe as houses i would recommend trying it before trying something else.
If it is an algae bloom, a UV will clear it up in no time....but it could be suspended fine particles.
Keep us posted.
Cheers
Ben

Ive been told its green algae in the water, it looks disgusting, the water turns progressively darker as the day goes on,
Not sure what im dealing with My LFS said its a phosphate and nitrate problem probably caused by my new plants introduced. Nitrates still at zero, fish are still happy but I just cant get rid of this green water.
Ive dropped my level by a third and are doing daily water changes,
any Ideas what im dealing with :?:
I used the good old Geo Liquid but I think this stuffs got it beat :!:
