Fluid bed filters

Hi, Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on fluid bed filters?
I am thinking of hooking one up inline with my canister filter and just wanted to know if they are of much benifit before i go to the trouble..

Last i heard was that one persons has leaked... No more feedback to report on...

IMO i feel more comfortable using a second canister.. I have a small aqua one CF500 filled with only eheim substrat.. just as a booster for bio filtration

FBF's are great when integrated into a tanks filtration system (i.e. supplementary filtration)
