How to break up frozen beefheart mix

Hi,
just wanting to no how do people break up there frozen beefheart mix when they feed it to there discus and how much do they feed at once. Just getting ready for my discus when they arrive 1 day

Hi Mate,
I leave what i will feed in the fridge over night.
It is still semi frozen the next morning, but defrosted enough it will break up easier in the water.
A microwave is a bit quicker, but you have to watch it does not cook the edges of the beef heart!
