Hi Kaz, unfortunately once they get a taste for the slime coating of the discus, there's no stopping them.

Trouble is, they'll be worrying your discus at night too, which means the discus aren't able to rest properly.

Sorry, but the only solution is to change them into another tank.

I think Ill take them to the petstore, the last thing I need is another tank in my tiny house. Stupid things! And I thought they were cute little angels....

So should I save my pennies and get a bristlenose?

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I've got bristlenose in all my grow out tanks, and I've never had a problem with them latching onto the sides of discus.

Just be sure to provide some driftwood for them, as they need it in their diet.

had the exact same issue when i started out with discus.


get rid of those asap! they will bring you nothing more than issues for your discus!
