Deep Blue Discus...

Hi All ..Im on the market for some deep blue discus...but we dont get very many varieties here in SA. Anyone got any recommendations or even better yet pics?? :wink: Lady red has a niceblue fish in the gallery but hasnt told me what type it is yet :roll: I currently have 2 small blue cobalts in the mixed tank...one is pretty much solid blue but they are a bit boring...I like the darker blue varieties..can anyone help?

Blues are pretty much dependant on the background of the fish are kept with. Light coloured background and u will get a light coloured blue fish. Dark black ground (planted tanks etc etc) and the blue will darken to blend in. There is no blue fish that stays dark dark blue unless it's terribly sick.

Hi kev,

See I have a planted tank and my cobalts look more aqua/blue. I thought there may be species with a more"blue" colouration unless its just lighting?
