Hello all what a surprise to find this site exists :D . Its amazing all the information thats packed into one site :shock: hopefully this will stop me killing my fish :oops: through inexperience (I hope).

Thanks TH... and we are only just getting started...

as time progresses I hope to have one of the best databases of Discus information online for us Aussies, and anybody else who loves these fish.

OOOH yeah :( I am the proud owner of ONE discus that has managed to survive :oops: my inept treatment - even this fish is now in the hospital tank with sores all over his/her head - some mothers do ave em !!!!!!!!

This site does exist and Thank goodness for that. I do get behind and have to play catchup witht he posting, but I love this board!

And Tryhard, I hope the fish do tke a turn around.
Are you treating them with anything?

Thanks annie yes I am treating him with flagyl (can't spell the other one) but the poor bugger has been neglected for so long its going to be a long recovery period .

Flagyl = Metronidazole

Proteus is right. Those are Discus Meds!!LOL

But Tryhard, It may not be as long of a road as you think. Just hang in there.

Thanks annie - just relized I was probably not giving him enough so I am going to up the dose from 200mg to 300mg - and I will try and get some 400mg ones tomorrow.There is some slight improvement but as one patch clears up another appears sometimes over the top of the new one !!!!!! sigh :cry:
