Algae.

In my breeding tank, theres been abit algae getting around, I was just woundering is it harmful to baby discus.
I wont to keen it up, but Im little afraid to interfear with the parents, this wednesday they will be a little over a week old. So I was planning on doing it then at a water change. Ive been checking all readings everything still OK :wink:

A bit of algae in the tank is not such a bad thing. I never worry too much about it. So long as the tank is clean, and the water is changed frequently, I dont' bother about algae if removing it bothers the parents too much.

If you can gently scrape it off the walls, with a long handle scraper, then that will be ideal, otherwise, wait till the fry are a little older, and less likely to be eaten by the parents.
