Talking about the humid in Asian countries, that is why they don’t worry about the electric bill as we do here.

Hi Sanie & ctvu,
I'm no pro, just a beginner and always learning about the hobby.
When I left Canada it was 20C and Singapore was at 34C, it is cooler over here but some of the days in the summer it will hit 34C and that's when I stay indoors, nice cool beer and with the central air conditioner running in the house.
The house is heated by natural gas heating system and it is always maintained around 25C.
I have electric heaters in the aquariums sump, it saves more energy in a centralized system and the tanks are all insulated, including lids on them to prevent evaporation and heat loss.
Don't worry and I'll be there at the 2007 Aquarama Show, the show alternates between China and Singapore, 2006 should be in China.

Down here in SG, we never heat up our house....cause there's no winter.........  But, at times, I thought how wonderful it is to play in the snow, building snowman and skiing. Never had the chance though.........Well, I just have to accept SG the way it is......... :) Glad you have plans for the Aquarama 2006 in SG. Maybe the next time, we can chat a lil bit longer...........

I did meet a lot of people in Singapore , we did converse a lot via Emails, etc. but it was the first time that we met person to person.
It is cold over here in Canada during the winter months and the outside temperature could drop to -20C at night, have to keep the house warm otherwise it freezes.

Hi Sanie & ctvu,
Any new strain that the breeders do come out with are expensive and it will be cheaper down the road, i.e. GLSS (non PB) from Lee Koon Yen were selling for $540.00US when they were first released last year and now it is much cheaper and you could buy them for $120.00 for a 3" fish.

Mario,
That'll always be the case. They're very very expensive when first introduced to the market. Then, as time goes by and breeders are capable of producing this strain on a larger scale, the price will eventually go down.............As for now, I guess ctvu and me will just have to wipe off our saliva more often until, maybe next year.............. 8-)
And when prices finally go down, I'll definitely gonna have some of them swimming in my tank. But, for how long? It's anybody's guess.............

Merrilyn,
I was told the same thing too. Maybe, I guess this is only the introduction. More are yet to come..................
But, you are one lucky lady...............so to speak........ 8-) 8-)
I was offered the amount stated for those ARGD, but I guess I'll just have to give it a miss this time cause the price is way above my budget........  Next time, maybe. When they're cheaper..........

Sanie, sorry for the delay in answering. I missed this thread.

My albino RGD came in thru SLS in Sydney. Kevin hand picked him for me, as well as the three other RGD I purchased at the same time.

There are six new RGD coming my way once they are out of quarantine. These are bigger fish, ready to pair off, also hand picked by Kev, so I will be hoping for some fry in the near future. As far as I know, these are still the only RGD in Australia, although SLS have now another three juveniles for sale.

Hi ctvu,
I have no idea what Blue Moon looks like and the White Butterfly is the white PB.
I purchased those Blue Knight's discus from Wayne Ng Discus Centre last year when they were approx. 2" and they are approx. 16 months old and about 8" right now.
