I came home today to my Blue turq which had his side fins all torn up and a huge impression above his lip. I think he may of ran into something in the tank as I would of thought a discus was tough above his mouth

He is moving very slowly.....I think the other fish are taking advantage of this and pecking him. He is (was) the dominant male in the tank.

I have very few rocks in the tank and they are only 2" off the sand surface.

Do you think I am correct or a disease....Does discus have a bone running down the front of their head.

Inferno, I'm more concerned about what appear to be "holes" above the mouth.

Can you get some better shots. Maybe some face on, and the other side of his head too.

The shape of the head appears to be more a normal variation rather than the result of an injury.
