Hi all , for those who uses BOC gas tube for their CO2 , what kind of regulator and diffuser do you use ??
Does all regulator "universal size" ? Means theres only one size that would fit the tube ?
Thanks

Hi Dr V
I use a BOC CO2 cylinder - size D food grade cylinder.
I'm using the Tunze regulator & CO2 controller going into a dupla reactor - all stored in cupboards under my tank.
Your best bet would probably be to ring BOC or go in to one of their sales stores - I know there are different size apaptors & threads depending on the source of the tanks & regulators.
Hope this helps.

Hi all, so the the inlet ( the one facing right ) goes into the regulator right ?
And the outlet ( facing down ) will goes into the tank. What kind of hose would you use that fit onto that outlet ?
Thanks

Do not go to a gas outlet BOC etc....You end up paying industrial rates ~$80/year....
Find yourself a "home brew" shop and rent the same cylinder off them. The yearly rental is at least half than that from an industrial supply. I think I got a quote for a full cylinder for $35.00 / year. You still end up renting the same bottle from BOC just the rental is cheaper for the home user (brewers).
I have been running CO2 for about 1 year off a fire extingiusher (spelling ?)
I have a very good ph regulator control through a solenoid and needle valve...however I just run the CO2 through a silicon tube straight into the tank through a good quality air stone. I control the PH to within +-0.03ph with just an air stone no fancy defuser.
Just make sure you get the proper CO2 regulator as the diaphram is special for CO2 applications.

but who will fill it with lpg gas? if u find someone, i will come with u hehehe !!!
I found an interesting source of co2.....
Theres some home-soda drink machiney thing, that is avail, and u can buy replacement co2 containers, with it was somethin like 40L co2 gas for ~$40 at kmart...
just need to inspect the fittings on the tank, really

Well I guess when you buy the gas just use them for cooking or something. When they're finished just refill with CO2. One of LFS here can refill CO2.

You may want to check with refillers first to see if they will actually refill an LPG bottle with CO2. CO2 bottles may be certified differently to LPG bottles.

Not a good idea could go bang LP gas bottles for LP gas CO2 bottles for CO2.
