spawning process

hi guys was just wondering during the spawning proces does the male chase the female around the tank my female seems to go to clean the surface and then the male seems to chase and peck at her is this normal when i change the water in the tank they both seem to get excited is that normal to cheers matt :D

Hi matt, there are all sorts of 'normal' pre spawning behaviour. A little bit of chasing is to be expected. It's also quite normal for them to go thru 'shivering' behaviour when they are getting ready to spawn. Water changes will trigger spawning behaviour.
