Hi Ben
What size & age are the BD fry atm ?
Dave
Ben
Wed Jul 20, 2005, 07:00 AM
Hi Dave,
large fry are 10 weeks old and the bottom younger fry are almost 2 weeks old.
The older fry vary in size, i have not culled the dud's yet but will in a couple of weeks but the larger fry would be a bit bigger than a 50 cent piece.

Ben

Hi Ben
What size & age are the BD fry atm ?
Dave
I would say the biggest one from that batch could be 1", and there are some small too. So it is hard to tell but only 10 weeks old they have grown fast, ask Ben the secret recipe BH he made I'd like to know too

Wed Jul 27, 2005, 12:00 PM
Hi Jim,
Still no love in the air in Sydney mate?
maybe do %15 water change every second day and in 8 days do a %60 water change.
Thats works for me..
have you noticed any difference with the leaves in the tank?
mmm.... i could think about sending some up.
Cheers,
Ben

So tell me, do those leave actually have an effect?
If so, did you order them over the net from the link provided, or is there somewhere onshore that supplies them as well?
Ben
Fri Aug 12, 2005, 04:29 AM
Hi Oscar,
yes i do believe the leaves do help, but the best thing i have learnt is lots of good water changes!
They are available from that website, but make sure he lists the botanical name on the parcel as you will get a lot of head aches from customs if it just says almond leaves!
Cheers,
Ben

Ben, your fish are beautiful. Blue diamonds are my favourite. can you just use normal almond tree leaves or do they have to be that particular type. I am asking because my friend has a huge almond tree but would not be able to say what type it is. just that it is humungus.(spelling?)

Thanks everyone for the interest in my fish.
Please note that anyone who wants to buy some of them, i would recommend that they go into a tank either by them selves or with similar size fish.
As if placed with larger fish/discus there would be competition for food and their growth would not be at their full potential.
Cheers,
Ben
