How many?

Hi,

im currently in the process of cycling a new tank and want to know how many discus i can have in it. Its a 3ft x 18 x 14, so just a bit under 120l. Im guessing 4 to 5.......

can you put anything else in with them? Also if i were to put 4 discus in a 3ft, would it take a longer for them to grow, or could i just put 4 and when they get bigger i can move them to a bigger tank

in theory they recon 1 adult discus needs 40L of water. so yeah 3 in that tank BUT with good w/c and if they are peaceful u could get away with 4 or 5 ;)

Discus need 40 litres per adult fish. In your 120 litre tank, 3 is the maximum number. :P

You could start with say 6 juveniles, but be prepared to find a new home for 3 of them as they begin to grow.

i will probably keep it to 3. There is a black ghost knife in their as well, so i dont want to hurt the discuss feelings
