Can i just add some advice about peat. Peat breaks down calcium particles to lower the kh which inturn lowers the ph. Which is good to get the lower ph you want but with the lower kh your ph will have greater swings and it will be harder to control. With changes like this your better having the fish in water of 7.6ph then rapid changes.
Can i ask your water pars?? Just curious why your trying to bring them down so much.

P.S- Alot of breeders raise their fry at ph of 7.5+, i think because it makes them a hardier fish, i could be wrong but i know it is done with alot of top breeders.
