Has anyone tried sand blasting sand its just pure silica
i thought it might be a bit fine though
has any one used sand with oscars

Sand balsting sand would be too fine, plus for use in tanks it needs to be quartz based.

The only safe sand for a tank is the type that is either sourced from a freshwater creek, or the stuff used for pool filtration.

Anything else opens up the doors to contaminants.
