u can have any plants u like actually... amazon sword look good on discus tank ^^
How many discus u can have in there is depending on their size right now. What do u mean feed them ? feed the fish or the plants ?
To feed the fish is better to give them a variety of food such as frozen food ( blood worms , brine shrimp ) , live food ( black worms , brine shrimp ) and dry food ( tetra bits ).
For the plants there are variety of fertilizer you can get.
Water changes is best at twice a week or if you got more time, every second day. This will enhance the growth for the fish as well.
What sort of tubelights do u have ?

YOu need to increase your lighting.
Then you need to decide what substrate you like,An enriched substrate or plain gravel/sand,or a layer of sand and latrite or something along those line's.
These 2 issuse's should be addressed first.
