bloated discus

hey everyone,

Just need some help here....

Two of my discus have bloated stomach, what's wrong with them and how can I fix the problem?

One other thing, they seem to be floating to the surface and they are trying to swim down....

you should give them a good salt bath for around 2 hours

If they both have it at the same time, it sounds like an eating disorder. Did they have something different from normal in ther diet the last couple of days. Or could they have over eaten on a particular food.

One thing you can do is dose them with one level tablespoon of epsom salts in 40 litres of water. It acts as a laxative, and will help them empty their gut sooner.

If you see no improvement in a couple of days, we may be dealing with a bacteria, and you will need to get an antibiotic for that.

Try the epsom salts first, and see what happens.
