how long does it take for discus to "become one" with their surroundings, because i got mine yesterday and ive started worrying about them because they are not eating because food is sinking too fast for them to eat it and they are moving around a bit faster than normal

It's normal for discus to be frightened in a new tank, and reluctant to eat for a few days.

It can take your discus up to a month before they are really comfortable in their new surroundings.

maybe about a week.... just make sure u turn on the lights for about 10 hours a day

yeah give them at least a few days.... some take to a new tank straight away other take more time. just try to provide them with good water and they will do the rest
