Is there anything really wrong with mixing various types of discus? They're just color variations, right? They can still interact, breed, play, live in the same way, right?

Absolutely nothing wrong with having a tank of mixed colours. After all, they're still just discus. Purists might prefer a tank of a single colour, or perhaps keep a group of wild heckels together, but there is nothing more spectacular than a tank of happy, healthy fish of mixed colours.

The choice is yours.
