Well after being on the road for a week, and having to rely on public computers to stay in touch I am back in the real world...

The highlight would have been the Glacier hike, and the time spent around Doubtful Sound was excellent although it would have been more enjoyable if the weather conditions were better.

I ve never seen/been too the snow :cry: one day..

Proteus - did you go to milford sound??? My mrs went there for a holiday and had these photo's of some river at the bottom of it where the filmed lord of the rings. But she sent me a postcard from there, and the pictures of the "bay" area with the mountains around it. Looks amazing.

Been to Milford several times before... went to Doubtful Sound which is a little further South of Milford... awesum... even though it rained the entire time.

It is so much bigger than Milford, and so remote... you have to go via a boat for 1-2 hrs, then special buses which drive over the range and through temperate rainforests, then on to another boat for the trip around Doubtful...

The murky pics on the water were taken when out on the sound...
