Im planning to cage the cone for the next spawning as i lost lots of of eggs in the 1st spawning. But i dont know how long should i wait.

You can cage the eggs as soon as the parents have finished laying. When the eggs hatch, and the fry become free swimming, they will swim thru the cage and go to the parents.
