Uv steriliser

Hi all

I have a established 6x2x2 tank but i just set up a extra canister filter so my question is should i leave the uv sterliser turned off?? Or it dosnt matter?

I don't think it will matter too much. Maybe you can add some mature filter media from your established canister to the new one to help seed it.
