Can these work?

Hi all, Hoping to start a new venture of keeping discus in a planted biotope tank and apart from the usual suspects for tankmates (tetra's etc) I was wondering if you can have synodontis punctatus and electric blue Acara's together with the discus?
Any help greatly appreciated. :D

I would say ok for the Synodontis Punctatus, but not for the blue Acaras. Discus prefer slower moving tank mates and will stress easily if you get the wrong ones in there harassing them. No Plecos either, these tend to get a liking to the slime on the discus and you end up with damaged and dead fish. Take a look at Sterbai Corys, they are fine, or Rams.
