my green turquoise is having light coloured patch on the body
and it is getting bigger, it is looking weaker and think fins also
are getting infected, it is noticed yesterday
what to do, help me

Heater burn?? Only thing i can think of. I had one of mine fall asleep on the heater and it was a very nasty scar..

Could be a type of body fungus. Usually bacterial. What type of medications can you get hold of. Can you get any antibiotics?
If you can post a pic. that would be a big help.

the one with more infection died the nextday
i am treating other fishes with methylein blue
and rock salt, seems to be ok now

I went through a similar problem. No matter how hard I tried, I kept getting this "infection" which would take over the fish - white stuff that would consume them. Medications did not help & I even stripped down and bleached everything & strated again - same thing came back.
Eventually I got a U.V. sterilizer & the problem went away overnight. Just recently when I had the U.V. off during Prazi treatment, I noticed one fish had some pale stuff on it's tail fin - when I turned the U.V. back on it cleared up overnight.
However, since talking to people here, I have concluded that my fish were not well anyway (flukes, worms etc.) and couldn't fight off infections.
