Hi FHP,

I think you will struggle to maintain what you are after in that tank for a few reasons;

Water parameters for healthy live bearers and discus do not align all that well.

If you do get five I am thinking your volume will not be adequate, the tank to me looks to be less than 120 cm.

Good luck with your quest but make sure you are able to meet the needs of the discus otherwise this can be a very expensive learning experience.

That's a gorgeous looking tank. If you can give us your water parameters, pH ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and the dimensions of the tank, as well as your water change routine, we will be able to help you with some recommendations.

Planted tanks aren't ideal for growing out youngsters so I'd be aiming for semi adults or adults.
