phpBB is up to v3+ but the forum is still on v2, and its very noticeable for someone who uses other forums that are using current software that this is a bit clunky

joel.Very observant, but incorrect.
The base version is highly customised so whilst the skin has all the bearings of v2.0, the back end is a lot more current.
As per several threads already on the forums a major upgrade is due to be done... as for when, well sooner rather than later.
At the end of the day, if it aint broke, why change it

it may not be broken but it could be better, i really like the general layout here but i think with newer more content driven software the forum might attract more interest
little things like user gallerys that show random pics when you open the page, having the latest threads show up on side menus or maybe in the main page having the latest active thread listed next to each forum instead of the name of the last person to post
