Hi, I purchased a discus from a forum member but have had trouble ever since.
The discus is a female ring leopard about 12cm - head to tail.

It has slowly been going off its food and seems shy & withdrawn.
It has one cloudy eye, no other physical injury.
It dropping is and has been what seems like a 'loose tan/fawn poo.
It has now stopped eating altogether and going dark.

I have it on it's own in a quarantine tank.

I first treated with Huey Hung H-4 & H-2 small improvement initially but then continued to deteriorate.
Temperature about 30-32 deg/c
I then treated for worms with Big-L first & then parzi, again a lot of loose tan/fawn discharge. Some improvement but again deteriorated.
I then treated with Metro (400mg/40 litre) & Doxycycline (50mg/40 litres)
If anything it is getting worst ?

Any suggestions would be helpful before I loose this fish.

Thanks,
Ray

I usually treat my sick Discus with Metro every day for 7 days, NO LIGHT cover the tank with towel, day5-6, usually they will start eating again. H-4 and H-2 only for worming, once the Discus is sick, I only use Metro. and you shouldn't cross medication. one thing at a time. and really don't expect the fish will get well with in a week. usually takes a month at least for fully recover.

Good Luck :)

Thanks,
At this stage metro does not seem to be doing the job as the discus seems to be getting worst ?
Out of interest how often do you do water changes & how much.
25% every day ?
