This male has really matured nicely.
it displayed a leopard pattern when young but the smokey pattern has really kick in. It's also got some nice blue in the face and fins

Not sure on the parents. I think they were both smokey leopards in this case
not breeding any angels at the moment unfortunately but i have a couple of mates that are breeding. I gave me best high cover male koi to one of them and he's working on it now

i don't find any one colour variety of angel more aggressive than another
what makes them aggressive is individual personality, pairing up and breeding, sex - males are more agro in general but females are usually more agro when breeding
wild caught angels can be more aggressive however they can also me more shy

this fish is spawned from some fry i grew up for a mate of both Matt and myself. its parents are smokey leopards, are its grandparents and great grand parents.
the leopard markings are present as fry but tend to get covered up by the smokey as they grow up.
a bright tank with a long photoperoid (14hrs or more) helps them keep the leoprad markings longer.
Great fish but the parents of this particular fish are a little aggro, from memory as soon as the eggs are laid they need to be pulled from the pair or the male goes ape and tries to kill the female.
