gh/kh

[its me !!!]

i have got 3 gh kh on 3 separate occasions recently and cant get a reaction on tank or tap water i here the gh/kh test can go off ...i bought 1 years ago it worked fine but yeah have bought 3 test kits recently they just dont work 4 me interested 2 here what people have 2 say about this

I have the API Gh/Kh test kits and it is difficult to get a reading at the lower end of the scale (1 or 2 drops). To check if your kits are working I would add Kh developer to a small sample of water and see if you get a reaction then. Not sure what you could add for Gh, I generally get a reaction if I use RO right.
