this appeared onver night hopeing some one can tell me what it is
soo i can treat it
currently in a 2ft tank sole occupant sand substrate same plants
water conditions good temp 26 ph 6
nothing has been added to the tank in 6 months or soo

I always start with a good water change and substrate vac then add salt and watch from there.
Looks like a scratch has got infected? Not sure but hope this helps.
There are apisto owners on here they may have a better answer ie: I am not aware of specific apisto diseases they will be. But my advise will only help while you wait.

seems it may be a parasite as the wound opened and now he is covered in wounds

mycobacterium infection (fish TB) ?
please keep an eye on your other fish, if they show any similar symptoms its best you destroy the lot.

From what I understand it can also be transferred to humans. Although unlikely it is possible.
