Discus Favorite Food

My discus eats everything. They prefer some foods to others. Their favorites are in order below (1 being the best)

1. Marine Green (only vegtables)
2. Brine Shrimp
3. Beef Heat Mix
4. Bloodworms
5. Dry food ( Tetra Bits / Breeders Premium)

Would like to hear from others.

Discus Favourite would have to be blackworms! wether they are bad or good for them is another story but discus have taste buds for BW!!

I use the breeders premium dry food, great stuff!

My discus love everything but I'd have to say when I give them a treat of live black worm they go absolutely nuts like a feeding frenzy.

Three of my six discus absolutely love tetra colour bits. If they catch a glimpse of the container they all go insane and turn real nasty towards the others. Every one I tell is amazed that they prefer dry foods.

Sorry in my particular case I can't vote cause most of my discus got nuts over all wet foods so 2,3 and 4 in the voting category.

Also I have never tried number 1, marine green.

But I must admit most of mine don't like color bits or granule type foods (except for one ... and I had a few going for it after an effort).

However a few of them will readily eat flakes.

hi all :D ,
my discus will eat anything i give them.

they take:
beef heart food
bloodworms
breeders premium
brine shrimp
mysis shrimp
flake
algae wafers (weird i know :lol: )

but they have a special spot in their stomache for the blackworms. gotta luv em!
