fishless cycle???

i was reading a couple of posts and wondering how do I go about a fishless cycle. Can it be done in a couple of weeks. Im planning on setting up two or three breeding tanks. Some info on this would be much appreciated..

Fishless cycle takes me about 11 days, but I take some used filter media from a fully cycled tank and put it in the new filter to give it a kick start.
