changing tap water ph

Has anybody noticed that the ph of the tap water as changed, mine was 8 now it's 6.5 is this normal for sydney tap water to change like this? Thanks.

I would be very surprised if your tap water was that low.

Where in Sydney are you?

Had the same thing in Melbourne about 6 months ago, the standard was 6.5 and then it dropped below 5 and then came back up to 6.5.

Took about a month to get back to normal.

hi bigdaddyado, I'm in hurstville, i checked the water twice with different tools and both showed the same values i was surprised too, couldn't believe it.

You'll find your water supplier has changed your source. of water maybe a summer thing? Ours does here, hardness goes right up.

6.5 is better than 8. :)
