Hi,
looking at getting Led light for my new 6x2x2 and are planing of having low to medium plants without co2 My options are:

Green Sun Generation 1
2 x 150w
330m x 330m x 70mm $576 delivered for 2 units
Specification
3 1w or 2w model
4 Blue and white ratio 1:1 2:1 is available
5 Blue wavelength:460nm, White CCT:
6000K~20000K
6 Pneumatic heat dissipation

Or
Silent operation 150w R5 150mm x 120mm x 200mm $474 delivered
Specs
Cree led 120-130
3 watt emitters
no cooling fans

Which is going to better having 2 units that give 150w each or 1 unit that is 1500mm long and gives 150w of light

Whats your thoughts guys

Cheers Axl

Hey Axl,

Theres alot more to LED then wattage. Quality, Brand and Drivers, then the option of Lense's.

Ideally what you want to look for is efficiency and performance, complimented with options for functionality..

Personally, I would recommend the Maxspect Mazarra S-Series for many of the objectives stated above.

The Mazarra is a modular design system with each module totalling 50w.

The S-Series Module comes complete with:
Cree XP-E 8,000K x8
Cree XP-E Blue 460-480nm x4
Cree XP-E Royal Blue 440-460nm x4
All LED chips driven @ 1000mA
2 Channels for Dimming
4 Programable Time points for Daylight Simulation
LCD Display on Each Module
Moon Feature
Interchangeable LED Chips
3 Sets of Lense's - 40, 70, and 100 Degree Lens
Programable Temp Setting for Active Cooling

The Modular System also allows you to add to the system as your requirements demand, or upgrading to a larger sized aquarium in the future.

Take a look at the Maxspect Mazarra Systems at:

Kind regards,
George
