Rams

I have 2 rams in my discus tank. They have spawned many times but without sucess. They have always got on very well, but yesterday the male became very aggressive towards the female and she seems very stressed.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal?
Should I seperate them?

This can happen from time to time with rams
I usaly remove the pairs when the femail is ready to mate and put them in there own tank

your male might be quite keen but the female miht not be as willing at the moment

how big is your tank and how big are your discus

the rams will take on the smaller discus and that can be a problem with your breeding
