Fighting over fry

Ok we have managed to get fry to 4 day free swimming now parents are fighting VERY aggressively. Who do I move? Male is being the instigator, fry are being thrown all around the tank. Fry seem to be more attracted to him although female is a lot darker than him. at the moment they have half each. Thankyou

Discus can have a habit of doing that, I prefer to leave them together and let them sort it out themselves. Good parenting is a learned skill not an inherited one IMO.

I've had the same problem I took out the female and the Male took care of the fry.

Thankyou for you reply I will leave them together for the moment and monitor the situation. Female is very badly scratched would I need to treat her with anything to aid healing? Thankyou

I would transfer to a community tank if you have one, if not move her to another tank with good clean water she should recover.
