Hi guys,
I have a 4x2x2 ft tank and would like some advice on which Eheim canister should I be using? It will be a planted tank with co2 and discus or angels.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
JT

2 2217's would be your cheapest option, you might get away with a 2217 and a 2215
you could also go 2x 2228's
2x2028's
or a 2080, not sure how the other pro3's are as i havnt used them

Thanks mate. Any reason to use 2 smaller canisters instead of a larger one? If I go for a 2080, should I be concerned about the strong flow? I know it should be adjustable but not sure how low can i turn it down to.
Cheers

not really its purly a price reasone 2 2217's is cheeper then 1 2080, also you have a degree of redundency, ie you can clean 1 filter every month and the other every other month and never have to worry about restarting a cycle

I have a 2080 and the flow rate is nothing to be concerned about. It's only rated at 1700lph at best, but it's rated to work on large tanks due to it's biological filtration efficiency - not pure water turn over.
