Hi Guys,
where building a new house in 6 months time and want to know peoples thoughts on what what they would do to make water changes easier when building a new house. The fish tank is going to be 6x2x2 as i will have to buy a new 1 for the new house and im going to sell my 5x2x2 with the old house. i need to hook something up so i can drain the tank outside easier than running hoses all the time and refill as well. Any suggestions would be great

cheers Axl

build a drain and tap into the floor/wall for the cabinet. that way you could plumb the tank direct to the drain and fill up via an ro unit hooked into the sump.

Hi Axl,

If I was in my own place I'd be doing this. You're going to need the "boss's" permission. ;)

Hi Axl,
I have designed a few houses that have feature tanks in them.
If you would like me to have a look , email me a copy of your plans
and i can mark them up for you and send back.
Exciting stuff mate , new custom tank & house.
Regards,
Ben

Play it safe.
You may want to avoid using water that has been "standing" in new pipes etc.
Just run the tap for a minute before filling your storage container.
