Ok so today i was looking at te discus name "pigeon blood" and was wondering.....

where the hell did that name come from? seriously? what a wierd cobination of words

pigeon.... blood....

what does it mean and how did 'they' come up with it?

It does seem weird, i have thought about that particular one a bit myself... then i realized a LOT of people eat pigeon, just like we eat chicken or duck. Its not weird at all in Europe or Asia... so perhaps the drawn parallel to color isnt that weird either?
