simply amazing mate a real credit to you almost makes me want to start up a planted tank again (then i remember the work involved lol)

Hey Jothy,
Funny thing is, we do the least amount of work on this tank..... :shock:
Come for a drive over and take a look in person. So much more impressive to have the discus follow you up and down the tank.. :D

Ado, Aquarium is a FULL ADA Substrate System including:
Penac P
Penac W
Tourmaline BC
Clear Super
Bactor 100
Power Sand Lrg 18Ltr
ADA Africana 9Ltr Std 3bags
ADA Africana 9Ltr Powder 2bags
Filtration:
Eheim 2080 + 25wE Debary UV
Will upgrade to the 2180 Head shortly (winter is upon us)
CO2:
4bbp
Aqua Medic Regulator and Solenoid
ADA CO2 Beetle Diffusor
Lighting:
4x 96w Aqualina PL
2x 54w T5 (recently added for the photo and decided to keep it on)
Both 9hr's /day. 12midday - 9pm.
Ferts:
Seachem Pottassium every other day
Seachem Iron and trace weekly.
Seachem Excel - when and if i remember....
Seachem Buffer as required (Acid and Alkaline Buffers used together as Part A and B)
Maintenance:
30% Water changes Monthly.
Trim once every 2mths.
Plant:
Lilaeopsis
Age - almost 12mths.
Aqua Scape was created in one day planted using cut up sheets of Lilaeopsis Grass originally for a restuarant in a public display @ Randwick. Lilaeopsis filled in the base in approx 3mths with trims every 6wks to promote spread for ground cover.
Ottos and SAE's added after 1wk.

I must say this tank is amazig in real life, George has done an excellent job with the lighting, CF's and T5's are almost old standard now but the spectrum of bulbs used really makes the plants and fish POP! the camera doesn't catch the true irridesence of the cardinals, the reds are a deep crimson and the blue is electric, really well done mate, well worth the trip just to see it.
BTW new store looks great still plenty of work to do but i guess your up to it, love that new discus system!

That's cool George! I had a similar experience a while ago with Golden Pencil Fish.. Just threw them in my shrimp tank and I guess they liked the conditions and moss fpr spawning.. :wink:
