Hi,
just want to know what other fish look nice with discus in the tank. I have currently only got rummy nose tetras in there along with bristlenoses. I have tried rams before but haven't had much success with them they have always died for some reason

Neons or cardinal tetras are a good option. There are several Apistos that will go well with them also. SAE's go well and are a must for almost any planted tank IMO.
Have a good look through here and you'll get some good ideas http://www.discusforums.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=25

panda and julii cories and whiptails. I had other fish in there and took them out. I think the discus on their own look magic. I have seen some tanks with geos and discus and that looked very nice.

When i run out of space i sometimes put some of my discus in with my eartheaters. I've never really had a problem other than the Geo's being a bit quick at eating the food, so i usually put a bit of extra feed and that way the discus eat fine.
