Greeting members, ive just jioned DF.
Ive been keeping Discus now for 2 yrs, I run a 1200ltr and 3 /166ltr tanks.
Ive done alot of study (and water work, hard water here) along the way and hope to still learn more.
At the moment I have 3 breeders Orange Map/Blue Diamond, OrangeMap/ Blue Turk and Blue Turk/Malbrough Red plus anther 10 mixed plus 50 young.
Will be good chatting with you guys.

Hi Kath, I run an RO system, my large community tank i run 100ppm and the breeing tanks 40ppm with a pH of 6.4, although im now finding that the Discus in the community tank are hatching out eggs at 100ppm.
I also use large amounts of driftwood.

Yes mine breed quite happily at 100ppm, your situation is similar to me although mine is rainwater with nothing in it! LOL
